We know you love an amazing handbag. If you're like us, you love a hand made leather handbag even more! There's just something special carrying a purse that is completely unique that no one else will have, that was carefully crafted in a cute locally owned shop! Satchel was started by a SCAD student and has truly grown into an amazing store. They sell anything from large weekender bags, to purses, to leather koozies. You can even design your own bag, or customize an already made one by adding a longer strap or larger pocket. When you walk into the store and begin to browse all the beautiful pieces you get a full behind the scenes look at where all the magic happens! Their studio is right in the middle of their shop, allowing for an even more unique shopping experience.

Indulge in the Food

When you visit Savannah, expect to eat GOOD and often! There are just too many amazing restaurants and coffee shops to not indulge while you are here. Take a look at some of our favorite places you should check out for lunch, coffee or dessert on your strolls touring the city.

 Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room:

This is one of our great local Southern diners that is quite popular. You get to enjoy amazing traditional southern home cooking in a family style setting! Expect to get cozy with your fellow diners as you all pass delicious home cooked dishes around a large table and share in the delight of this favorite southern gem. You’ll want to plan ahead to eat here though, as it is open only during the weekdays from 11 AM- 2 PM. Friendly tip: to beat the crowd, show up extra early to wait in line or towards the later hours. Don’t worry about being bored while you wait, Mrs. Wilkes is situated on lovely, historical Jones street in the design district, where you'll also find lots of locally owned stores.
