How is 2017 already over? 2018 snuck up on all of us, so we've come up with some New Year's resolutions to help you be your best self this year.

Talk on the phone more often - yes, texting is much easier and sometimes faster than talking on the phone, but take a break and call your mom to see what she's up to, or make time to call your best friend who lives in a different state that you haven't talked to in a few weeks because you're both busy. You'll both be thankful for the break, even if it's just for a few minutes, and hearing the voice of someone you care about is an instant mood booster.
Turn off Netflix by 11 pm - after a busy day, it's easy to sink into the couch and turn on your favorite show, but before you know it, it's 3 am and you've watched both seasons of Stranger Things. Avoid regretting your late night (and the inevitable 5 cups of coffee the next day) by ending your binge-watching sessions by 11 pm. Then, grab a cup of Sleepytime Tea and head to bed. You and everyone else around you will be thankful that you're well rested.
Step out of your comfort zone and explore - there's so much of this world to see and do. Make an effort to do something every month that you wouldn't normally do. Spend the day exploring Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, or go to a concert at Music Farm in Charleston, SC, even if you can't find someone to go with you. Book a trip to the place you've been dying to visit, but never have. Keep an open mind, always. This year is all about the experience. You'll never regret taking the chance and stepping out of your comfort zone.
Create a "No Phone Zone" - with literally everyone having an account on multiple social media sites, people are often glued to their phones when spending time with friends and family. Before a girl's night in or a date night, designate the area a "No Phone Zone" to make sure everyone is paying attention to one another, and enjoying spending quality time together. It's nice to hang out, and spend time with the people who matter the most to you while everyone is free from Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook.
Donate or sell clothes that you rarely wear - we all have those items in our closets that we've had for a little while but have only worn once, maybe twice. Make 2018 the year you finally declutter and organize your closet. Load up the items that don't fit into your style anymore, and if you're local to Savannah, head to the SAFE Shelter, or a local consignment store. Or if you'd rather work from home, sell your clothes on Poshmark. Someone will be glad to have your rarely worn clothes, and you'll be happy to have more room to revamp your style.
Treat yourself - this year, don't forget about yourself. Plan a spa day for yourself at Spa Bleu in Savannah, or take a day off to shop with the girls and add some pieces to your newly decluttered wardrobe. Red Clover has super cute, affordable pieces that will boost your confidence and won't make you feel bad about treating yourself. Get the Park Avenue Midi for your next date night, or the Cascade Suede Jacket to add style to a business professional look. You work hard, so you deserve a treat every now and then.
